We believe all business is H2H - Human to Human
We believe that all business is H2H - Human to Human.

Behind every organization are people working to build something meaningful: a business, a nonprofit, a creative career, or a stronger community. Our programs are designed to support them with practical training, thoughtful outreach, and opportunities to connect with peers, mentors, and community partners.

We design programs that adapt to different learning styles—audio-friendly lessons, interactive presentations, toolkits for note-takers, and on-demand modules for self-paced review—so every participant can engage, retain, and apply what they learn.

Corporate & Public Programming

Distance Learning Media partners with public and private sector organizations to deliver programs that strengthen professional networks, economies, and communities. We help partners:

  • Support workforce development and skill-building

  • Strengthen entrepreneurship ecosystems

  • Provide accessible professional training

  • Foster cross-sector collaboration

  • Encourage innovation and technology adoption

Programs are flexible and delivered in-person, virtually, or in hybrid formats, making it easy to reach participants wherever they are.

Research, Outreach & Community

We create programs for diverse audiences, including:

  • Veterans and military-connected entrepreneurs

  • Small business owners and startups

  • Nonprofit leaders and mission-driven organizations

  • Creative professionals, including musicians and artists

  • Tourism and hospitality professionals

  • Local workforce and emerging leaders

Our work is rooted in research and community needs assessments, like the small business assessment we conducted for Austin, ensuring programs are relevant, practical, and responsive to each community.

By combining evidence-based design with outreach and engagement, we help participants build strong organizations, lasting networks, and thriving communities.

Facilitating Human to Human Learning

Learning works best when it’s designed for people, not just content. We recognize that everyone has different ways of learning, and we design experiences that meet participants where they are:

  • Live, instructor-led sessions and discussion

  • Audio-friendly lessons for auditory learners

  • Visual and interactive presentations

  • Toolkits and written resources for note-takers

  • On-demand modules to pause, replay, and review

Even as technology and AI transform the workplace, learning remains deeply human. Our approach ensures participants not only gain knowledge but also the confidence and connections to apply it.

Building Community Around Learning

Learning doesn’t end when the class does. Many programs include online community hubs where participants can continue networking, sharing ideas, and collaborating with peers. These spaces allow participants to:

  • Connect with others in their field

  • Share resources and best practices

  • Collaborate on projects and initiatives

  • Find mentors and partners

  • Stay connected to future learning opportunities

By combining training, research, and community-building, we create lasting networks that continue long after programs conclude.

Strengthening Ecosystems

Learning doesn’t end when the class does. Many programs include online community hubs where participants can continue networking, sharing ideas, and collaborating with peers. These spaces allow participants to:

  • Connect with others in their field

  • Share resources and best practices

  • Collaborate on projects and initiatives

  • Find mentors and partners

  • Stay connected to future learning opportunities

By combining training, research, and community-building, we create lasting networks that continue long after programs conclude.

  • Engagement Strategy & Blueprinting

Most of our clients start with a short-term planning project. We work with you to build out strategies – actual action items – to increase awareness, build on loyalty, nurture existing customers and engage prospects. And then we help execute on the plan with physical, measurable results.

  • Research & Analysis

We’re often tasked with a full-scale needs assessment, Net Promoter Score or a general industry survey to glean insight into what your base wants or needs from you. We love a good survey – and there’s a difference between an ok survey and a survey that brings in actionable information. Sometimes, all the difference in the world.

  • Focus Groups & Voice of the Customer

Who doesn’t love a great focus group? Well…most people – but ours are different. DLM facilitators know how to get the room buzzing with authentic conversation. We record everything so that you can really hear what people say and how they say it – not just reading the stats on a page.

  • Full-Service Social Media Management

We’re prepared to get really hands-on with your base. DLM manages social media for more than 50 organizations. Detailed monthly reports with goals we set together – and custom content including byline articles, graphic design and interactive features with audio and video included. It’s pretty awesome.

MORE ABOUT DLM

  • 1. Blueprinting

This our planning method. We take inventory of tools, resources, assets and relationships we can bring to the outcome and draft a work plan that makes sense. It’s straightforward. It’s practical. And it’s not rocket science (except for when we worked with an actual rocket science company).

  • 2. Design & Build

This is where we bring the design vision to life—uncovering and alleviating stumbling blocks that could interfere with successful implementation. Our 360-degree focus on customers and tech-agnostic approach allow us to develop flexible solutions that scale with business needs.

  • 3. Execution & Analysis

This is where the rubber meets the road. We’re ready to run the track and see what the campaign can do. We can manage the push or just stay close by, always flexible to read and react to changes as needed. This is the part that makes it marketing.

DLM took on the added responsibility for designing and implementing training for Constant Contact’s regional development directors and local service providers, building out the educational platform for a growing team with certifications and more. It is truly a pleasure to work with DLM.

We went with DLM for our website and our member database overhaul because we worked so well with them on the City’s small business needs assessment project. So far, we are thrilled with the decision. Everything is on track and looking better than ever. Looking forward to working on our social media with them next!

Without DLM’s active and engaged support. TANO would not be where it is today. To know founders, Julie and CJ Niehoff is to appreciate their talent and unwavering passion for excellence. We are very fortunate that they shared their incredible competence with us.
